Big Brain Cannabis: Cannabis Backed by Science
Powered by a dynamic search engine, BigBrain Cannabis uses peer-reviewed, scientific and medical literature on the effects of cannabis and cannabis compounds. It converts the study information into objective and numerical data to find matches between health symptoms or conditions and currently available cannabis products.
I’ve been involved with every phase of the project so far, from initial concept, strategy and wireframing, to working with the developers to build a prototype, and performing a UX audit on the prototype, including user testing interviews with the target audience. I contributed to the art direction of the visual layer for the site, performed QA testing, and designed several additional new features, including an eCommerce flow and the ability to book consultations.
The initial UX wireframes helped me and the client hash out the concepts and messaging. It was a delicate balance to communicate a value proposition with very complex underpinnings without bogging the visitor down with too much information.
When a health-seeker searches for products that match their condition, the progress indicator provides a (usually very brief) glimpse under the hood by showing how many studies and products are being searched.
